Production and sandbox
Every facility can have two copies of AlphaLeague:

What the sandbox is for
- Training new staff without risking real data.
- Trying settings — new reservation rules, a membership plan, a self-service change — before doing it for real.
- Testing payments with Stripe test cards or Constellation's staging environment.
- Seeing emails exactly as clients would receive them, without anyone outside receiving them.
Switching between them
Your name (bottom-left) → Open sandbox opens the sandbox in a new tab; in the sandbox the same menu says Back to production, and the amber bar has a Back to production button.
You sign in to both with the same email and password. They are separate accounts that started out identical: if you change your password in one, the other keeps the old one.
Where sandbox email goes
The sandbox's test inbox receives every email the sandbox sends. Set it in the sandbox under Administration → Billing → Payment & email setup → Sandbox test inbox. Leave it blank to not deliver sandbox email at all.
Nothing moves between the two
Changes in the sandbox never appear in production, and the other way round. When you're happy with a setting in the sandbox, make the same change in production.
Payments in the sandbox
Use test keys only:
- Stripe — keys starting
pk_test_/sk_test_, and test cards such as 4242 4242 4242 4242 (any future date, any CVC). For a card reader, register the codesimulated-wpeto get a simulated reader. - Constellation Payments — the staging details, with Live payments unticked; test card 4111 1111 1111 1111.
The sandbox refuses live keys, so a test can never charge a real card.
Getting a sandbox
Ask AlphaLeague support. A sandbox can start empty, or — when your current data is really a trial or demo — that data can become the sandbox while a fresh, empty production facility is created next to it.
