Email, alerts & text messages
Who sends your email
By default AlphaLeague sends from its own address with your facility's name. To send from your own domain, set up SMTP under Administration → Billing → Payment & email setup → Email (SMTP):
| Field | Tip |
|---|---|
| Host / port | Port 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL) — AlphaLeague picks the right security for the port |
| Username | The full mailbox, e.g. no-reply@yourfacility.com |
| From address | The same mailbox as the username — most mail hosts refuse anything else |
| From name | What clients see, e.g. NASA Indoor Soccer |
| Accept invalid certificate | Only if your mail host's certificate is expired and they can't fix it |
If sending fails, AlphaLeague says why in plain words (wrong password, wrong port, certificate, "sender not valid for your login"…) and gives an error reference.
Email alerts
Administration → Email & alerts → Email alerts:
- Reply-to address — where client replies go (e.g. your front-desk inbox).
- Client emails — booking confirmations and reminders, payment receipts, invoice emails, game reminders, program registration, waitlist and cancellation notices.
- Staff alerts — who is told about new sign-ups, online bookings and purchases, and payments that need attention.
Email campaigns
Email & alerts → Email campaigns sends newsletters to a client list. Every campaign has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribed and bounced addresses are skipped automatically.
Failed emails
Email & alerts → Failed emails lists addresses that bounced, unsubscribed or reported spam — these are skipped by every email the system sends. Remove an address once it's fixed. Export as CSV.
Text messages (SMS)
Email & alerts → Text messages (SMS): your Twilio account SID, auth token and sending number, then Send test. Only clients who agreed to texts receive them. (A sandbox never sends texts.)
